When Cooper Koch revealed that he's in a happy, committed relationship, gay hearts across the globe shattered into pieces. But now that the Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story star has officially gone public with his boyfriend, Stuart McClave, fans are eager to know more.
The two stepped out at the 2024 LACMA Art+Film Gala in Los Angeles last weekend, where they were seen posing for a pic with Kim Kardashian and looking sharp.
The details of their relationship are largely a mystery for now — we don't know how long they've been together or how they met. We do know that Koch is really serious about McClave, and it sounds as if the feeling is mutual.
And we also know at least a little bit about McClave himself:
He grew up in California.
According to McClave's Wikipedia, he was born in Washington, D.C., but grew up in Los Angeles, even attending the University of Southern California.
He's a former development executive.
McClave previously worked at both NBC Universal and the Discovery Channel, where he racked up a number of associate producer credits on reality shows such as How Booze Built America and World's Toughest Trucker.
He's a filmmaker.
McClave made the leap to writing, directing, and producing a documentary of his own with 2022's On the Line: The Richard Williams Story, about the father and coach of Serena and Venus Williams.
He's older than Koch.
The Monsters star was born in 1996, while McClave's birthday is August 29, 1987.
Koch wears a ring to symbolize their commitment.
"I was with my boyfriend, and we went into my room, and I was looking through my jewelry. And I had this ring that was my grandfather's, and I was like, 'Oh, I should just wear this ring,'" Koch previously said. "And then we just put it on my ring finger, and it just kind of became this little, I don't know... romantic, like, protective mechanism."
