Chelsea Handler Sets The Record Straight On Prior Threesome Comments

Chelsea Handler is clearing up some rumors that started after she previously admitted to having threesomes with her ex and a female masseuse.

Handler initially spilled the beans during an interview with Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM show over the summer, when their conversation turned to threesomes. At the time she claimed that she realized it was time to end things with Ted Harbert, who dated for four years before their 2010 breakup, because she realized she was having a better time with a woman they had a threesome with, and hooked up with her “several times without the guy.”

The media twist became that it sounded as if Handler had left Harbert for the masseuse – a misunderstanding she cleared up during a conversation with Jimmy Fallon this week.

“I really want to clarify, I want to go on the record, that is not why our relationship ended,” she said.

Apparently, Harbert was not pleased when he heard she had been sharing details of their sex life on the radio and sent her an email asking her not to do so again.

“I always forget there are other people involved in my stories,” the host admitted.

Fallon joked that going on TV and insinuating that the former couple had plenty of other problems that led to their breakup probably wasn’t what Harbert had intended to happen either, but it was all a little too late for Handler to keep things to herself by then.

“We did have a lot of threesomes, and while that’s private, it’s already out there,” she said. “So I’m going to double down on that and just say that we didn’t break up because I left him for the masseuse. That didn’t happen.”
