Ashley Benson Announces Engagement To Oil Heir Brandon Davis

Ashley Benson and Brandon Davis

Benson and Davis were first seen together as a couple in January Los Angeles Lakers game, confirming their relationship later in February.

Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson wasn't telling lies when she announced her engagement to Brandon Davis.

The actor shared the news on her Instagram story Friday, reposting an image from Davis where he referred to her as the "love of my life" while showing off a massive oval-cut diamond ring.

"My best frienddddd," Benson wrote. "I love you."

Davis is the grandson of the late oil tycoon Marvin Davis, who pioneered drilling across the western United States and at one point owned 20th Century Fox. The young heir first caught the public's eye in the early 2000s when he was seen frequently partying with Paris Hilton, including an occasion where he publicly shamed Lindsay Lohan, calling her a "firecrotch" in front of paparazzi.

Benson and Davis were first seen together as a couple at a Los Angeles Lakers game back in January, confirming their relationship later in February. Benson, who has been vocal about her desire to keep her personal life private, has given fans very few glimpses into her relationship with the oil heir.

"I usually keep my relationships private," Benson told Cosmopolitan UK in 2021, shortly after breaking up with rapper G-Eazy. "You obviously can't help if you get photographed together. [But] it's more sacred that way. Those private moments are for you and your partner, and I think it's best not to be over-exposed, and you can really protect your relationship if you're not exploiting it."

Benson also previously dated actress and model Cara Delevingne for over two years, between 2018 and 2020, with the couple moving in together close to their one-year anniversary in 2019. They remained strong until the beginning of May 2020, when they announced they had broken up. While neither publicly revealed why they had split, Delevingne hinted that the COVID-19 pandemic had taken a toll on their relationship.

“It was the most trying time,” she told Cosmopolitan. “It really makes or breaks you.”
