News broke that Ariana Grande and husband Dalton Gomez have officially separated on July 17, after rumors began swirling that all was not well in paradise. A source told Us Weekly that the pair simply had issues “that they couldn’t resolve” and were no longer speaking.

Gomez may have been the “thank u, next” singer’s first husband, but she’s had other high profile relationships over the years—and even a short-lived engagement not longer before the real estate agent won her over.

Let’s take a look at that history:

Graham Phillips, circa 2008 to 2011

Grande and Phillips met during 13: The Musical back in 2008. It’s unclear when exactly they started dating, but the two called it quits in December 2011. However, they briefly sparked reunion rumors when they were spotted together grabbing dinner in NYC back in 2019.

Jai Brooks, 2012 to 2013, 2014

Grande met Brooks, a YouTuber, via the internet, and they dated long distance until finally meeting up at the end of 2012. Brooks accused the singer of cheating on him the following summer, and they broke up, but rekindled things for a few more months in 2014 before finally calling it quits.

Nathan Sykes, 2013

The Wanted singer came into Grande’s life when the two collaborated on the song “Almost Is Never enough in the summer of 2013. Grande said they started talking when they ran into each other again in August, and dated for several months.

Big Sean, 2014 to 2015

Although Big Sean and Grande met back in 2012, they didn’t get together until mid-2014. They dodged relationship speculation for awhile, but were spotted kissing in public on several occasions, and had officially confirmed they were dating by October. They collaborated with several live performances, but ultimately split up in April 2015—reportedly due to complicated touring schedules.

Ricky Alvarez, 2015 to 2016

It is believed that Grande started dating Alvarez, who was one of her backup dancers, sometime during her Honeymoon Tour in 2015. The relationship would last til sometime around summer 2016.

Mac Miller, 2016 to 2018

Grande and Miller had known each other for four years when they finally began dating in 2016. Their relationship lasted nearly two years before the “7 Rings” singer confirmed in May 2018 that they had split. Tragically, Miller accidentally overdosed four months later.

Pete Davidson, 2018

Grande met Davidson on the set of Saturday Night Live when she hosted the show in 2016. They got together shortly after her breakup with Miller two years later and had a whirlwind romance that included the comedian getting multiple tattoos related to her. They were engaged and living together by June of that year, but had called it quits by October.

Mikey Foster, 2019 to 2020

Rumors that Grande was dating Social House singer Mikey Foster began swirling in August 2019. There was never an official confirmation, but sources claimed they had a casual fling that ended in early 2020.

Dalton Gomez, 2020 to 2023

Grande got together with the real estate agent in February 2020, and had announced their engagement by the end of the year. They were married May 15, 2021 in a small ceremony. Two years later, they celebrated that anniversary on Instagram, with Grande noting “I love him so.” But in July, it was revealed that they had separated earlier in the year.
