If they're not friends of Dorothy then who is?!

Ariana Grande is once again hinting at what we already know to be true: that Wicked's Glinda and Elphaba have some sapphic love for each other!

People have been shipping the pair since the original Broadway play became a sensation, and there is canonical evidence of Glinda's love of the ladies in one with the Wizard of Oz sequel novels, but it's Grande's own words that sealed the deal.

Not only do Cynthia Erivo (Elphaba) and Grande (Glinda) have undeniable onscreen — and offscreen — chemistry, but Grande, a gay icon herself, said in a recent Variety interview that the two beloved characters are "in love with each other" and she thinks Glinda is a little queer.

"I think she's a person who loves so much, and I do think that it goes beyond gender, and I think that's a common theme in Oz. I also think that the ways in which she loves Elphaba so much, and that forgiveness and that unconditional love that they share — I think they're in love with each other. I know, yes, it's platonic …," she told Variety before cutting herself off so that she wouldn't give away a spoiler. "But we'll talk about it more in-depth in movie two."

Earlier this year, in an interview with Gay Times, Erivo shared that she thinks Elphaba and Glinda share a "true love," and Grande agreed, saying that the two "might be a little in the closet."

So, between Grande and Erivo's own words, the canonical evidence in the OG novels, and the internet shipping them since day one, we're ready for the movie's sequel Wicked: For Good to make them a couple!
