Bravo host and producer Andy Cohen is down for a threesome with pal Anderson Cooper... at least that's what he said when he made an appearance on Sherri Shepherd's eponymous talk show, Sherri!
The two started bantering back and forth about dating and threesomes when Shepherd brought up the possibility of the 55-year-old CNN anchor. “I threw in Anderson’s name because you guys get along so well together,” she said.
While the 52-year-old star insists he and Cooper aren’t interested in a romantic relationship, he said he might consider if they threw someone else in the mix. "We could have some good threesomes, me and Anderson," Cohen joked. "That is what it would take because we are truly just friends."
"We've gotten so much closer over the years, and I just love him to death," he added.
The pair met when mutual friends set them up on a blind date in the ‘90s, but they never even made it to the first date because when they spoke on the phone Cohen broke Cooper’s cardinal rule by immediately asking about his mother Gloria Vanderbilt.
Even though they had a rocky start, they became fast friends. Since then, the two have become inseparable. They have been touring together since 2016 with their conversational stage tour, AC2: An Intimate Evening with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen and they’ve been drunkenly hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live together since 2017.
The long-time pals have also helped each other through life’s ups and downs, like the death of Cooper’s mother and the birth of their kids. In an Instagram post shared in May 2020, the CNN journalist wrote that he hopes their kids will “be best friends” too.
The Watch What Happens Live host told Shepherd that he enjoys “being part of a duo.” "We just have so much fun,” Cohen said of Cooper. “I love him, and I love making him giggle.”
They truly are best friend goals.
