“So I just open up and start to peel it and eat the banana," Cooper said.

Turns out Anderson Cooper was once “humped” by Madonna and apparently a banana was involved?!

On the latest episode of Kelly Ripa’s podcast Let’s Talk Off Camera, the CNN news anchor reminisced about past Madonna concerts he and Ripa attended together, including one where the Queen of Pop drew him onstage.

“What was the year we went to see her in Paris? That was so fun,” Cooper asked Ripa, according to Queerty.

The walk down memory lane took a turn though when Ripa brought up the time the two friends saw the “Like a Virgin” singer in New York just a few years later.

“Do you remember the time you were plucked out of the stage in Brooklyn?” Ripa asked about their experience seeing Madonna on tour in 2015.

“Oh god. That I chose to forget,” the 56-year-old said. “I loved the whole idea of it, loved the experience of it, I don’t love the video that exists of it.”

Cooper is referring to video footage taken at Madonna’s Rebel Hearts tour where she would invite an audience member on stage with her and then playfully bend them over and spank them before giving them a banana.

“I didn’t know what the hell was going on,” Cooper said of his experience on stage. “I was terrible. I danced terribly. It was mortifying.”

But Cooper isn’t the only celeb to participate, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry and Diplo were also party to the sexy shenanigans on other nights of the tour. “All of a sudden you find yourself standing, like, on this thing and then she hands you a banana,” he explained.

“And right before that she pushed me over and humped me. Which I didn’t expect at all,” he continued. “So I just open up and start to peel it and eat the banana and then all of a sudden I start to lower on this little electronic elevator disappearing on the stage eating this banana…to this day I don’t know what happened.”

Then Cooper pleaded with the podcast audience, saying, “Anyone listening to this please do not go and look at it online because it is just mortifying, truly mortifying.

We wouldn’t dream of dropping that footage into this article! *wink wink*

Lucky for Cooper he was able to redeem himself in the eyes of the pop icon when appeared on an episode of Live with Kelly & Ryan in 2017 and the “VULGAR” singer teased him about his moves at her concert before she convinced him to dance with her and even taught him her deep squat move.

After being hospitalized in June, Madonna is set to start the North American leg of her Celebration Tour on Dec. 13 in New York.
