Adore Delano is no stranger to drama. The RuPaul's Drag Race star fought her way to the Top 3 of Season 6 – and into our hearts. And when she was cast on All Stars 2, many viewers pegged her as a frontrunner. That is, until she promptly quit in episode two.
Since that moment in 2017, fans have practically begged her to return to another All Stars season and take home that crown once and for all. And she almost did!
Did you know that Delano was scheduled to appear in All Stars 6 alongside Shea Coulee, Jujubee, and Miz Cracker?
“We were in like ‘last minute’ negotiations and I said yes last minute and they couldn’t clear my talent show in time,” Delano explained to Joseph Shephard on the newest episode of Sissy That Talk Show. “I was gonna spit fire! I had sugar bottles made, and I was going to put water in it and start breaking it over my head. It was gonna be epic.”
But the producers couldn't clear her talent show with production, so it was vetoed. “They said I couldn’t spit fire but I could still [break the bottles].” Delano says she didn't want to be put in the bottom for a talent she didn't want to do, so she pulled out of the season completely. “I couldn’t do it, so it’s gone now.”
That idea is a thing of the past, but there's still hope for another Adore Delano run on a future All Stars. When Shephard asked if she would still return, Delano smiled and gave us a
When asked if she would ever return for a second run on All Stars, Adore simply smiled, “probably," then added, "but they have to let me do what I want to do."
