Thanksgiving is here and I’m spending it with a group of healthy eaters and hearty football watchers. We all have our favorites and rivalries for watching the guys play, but I was wondering if there were going to be any womens’ events televised.

Of course there aren’t…

Personally I don’t have any problem breaking the tradition of turkey and men’s football with lasagna and women’s hoops, but the main networks don’t agree.

So what’s a girl to do?

The short answer is to rent Personal Best, but I don’t think I can watch that sitting next to my mother-in-law. The long answer is to look up your favorite athlete on Twitter and find out what she’s up to for Thanksgiving. The following is a list of athletes I found on the site. Don’t get your hopes up about everyone. Some are super lame and don’t have anything fun to say. Others seem to have their iphone or blackberry hooked directly up to their last thought. You’ll probably bitch at me about not getting everyone’s name listed, but I went pretty far down the rabbit hole while looking up names.

Sure, I started with the lesbians; next came other women athletes, but then I just started typing in names. I even found a website that listed verified celebrity twitters and those that have a reputation for good tweets. I honestly didn’t know that the Porn Star category was going to fall right ahead of the Sports category on that site. Enough of me though. Here’s some of the more chatty athletes that are willing to tell you what they’re up to--some in a very personal way:
