Do youever get turned on while you are working out? My friend Katherine says she occasionally has orgasms while she's running. I actually get turned on at Bikram Yoga pretty often. It's downright weird, which you understand if you've done Bikram yoga. I'll happily extol all Bikram's virtues: it makes you feel great, it gives you a great ass, it helps you focus, it teaches you discipline, etc.. But it's not sexy. The studio is heated to 105 degrees, so while you're standing there in tree pose sweat is dripping down your butt crack and pooling under your boobs. The whole studio smells like a locker room, and there's a pose called "wind removing pose" which does occasionally make people remove wind.
But still, it happens. Somewhere around the middle of class I start feeling kind of tingly in my special purpose. A little research explained my reaction. Bikram Yoga, like many other forms of Yoga, requires a great deal of core strength. As you tighten your core muscles you are also build muscular tension in your pelvic area, especially the pubococcygeous muscles, the band of muscles that run across your pelvic floor. As you tighten these muscles and tension builds it brings blood to the area, creating the same pelvic congestion you get from being really turned on. The benefit from this type of exercise is cumulative. Do it enough and eventually you'll notice the difference in bed.
Any old kind of exercise will improve your love life if it makes you feel more confident and makes you stronger. Exercise also increases your endurance and lifts your mood so you feel like getting it on more often. All good things, but there are also many exercises that help build strength, tone and responsiveness in the muscles that actually help bring you to orgasm. Strong quads improve your reverse cowgirl, but strong core muscles can help you come harder and longer as well as quicker if that's something you're looking for.

I called Abby, my personal trainer ex-girlfriend, to get her advice about sex exercises. While we were talking she asked me if I'd read any articles about coregasms, or orgasms you have while doing crunches and other core exercises. I looked it up after we got off the phone, and sure enough, there are tons of magazine articles dedicated to that very phenomenon. Turns out, the woman next to you at the gym could be having an orgasm while she's doing crunches. Who knew? My personal trainer ex also gave me some sexercise suggestions you can do at home.
The first sexercise Abby suggested comes from Yoga. It's called a root lock and basically consists of you curling up your pelvis, pulling your stomach in, and doing the hardest Kegel you can muster all at the same time. Hold for 30 seconds and repeat 10 times.
She also suggested doing an exercise called the plank. It's like doing a push-up, only once you are in the top of the push up position, with your arms outstretched, you just hold yourself there for as long as you can. 20 seconds in to this one and you'll feel it in your abdomen and pelvic area. It's not easy.
Her final sexercise suggestion was another Yoga move called the boat. Lie on your back, raise your legs and torso up about 45 degrees so you are balancing on your butt and using your abdominal muscles to hold yourself up. Hold this pose as long as you can. Repeat 10 times.
After doing Abby's sexercises I was too tired to have sex and had to just lie there while my girlfriend went down on me. So all in all I'd say my sexercising was a complete sexcess.
