The Equality Forum has announced the 2010 GLBT History Month icons. Each day in October one of the 31 honorees will be featured on the GLBT History Month website with a video, biography, downloadable images and other educational resources. The videos and resources are offered without charge.
Equality Forum is a national and international GLBT civil rights organization that focuses on education. The organization launched History Month in 2006 to teach GLBT heritage, provide role models, build community, and celebrate the community’s contributions.
The resources for GLBT History Month 2010 Icons will be available at www.glbtHistoryMonth.combeginning October 1. The 124 Icons with resources for 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 are archived on the site.
