Ellen DeGeneres can't text on the iPhone and apparently Apple can't take a joke.
The Advocatereports that Ellen issued an apology to the company after airing a parody of an iPhone commercial Monday.
The short segment showed the talk show host unable to use the tricky iphone applications and stumbling through a number of features on the phone. In an attempt to text, she pulled up the maps application, but failing to get it right, accidentally sent a test to wife, Portia.
The parody was all in good humor, but don't mess with Apple.
After rerunning the fake ad on Tuesday, Ellen told her audience, "So, it's funny right? I thought it was funny, a bunch of people thought it was funny. You know who didn't think it was funny? Yeah... the people at Apple didn't think it was so funny."
Ellen went on to give a tongue-in-cheek apology to Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and "Mr. Macintosh" for making it seem like the iPhone is hard to use. The good sport even went on to say that she loves all of her Apple products.
"I love my iPad, I love my iPod," she said to applause from the audience. "I love IHOP, if you have anything to do with that."
