22 Important Tweets From the #FreeKesha Campaign
The court battle between Kesha and Dr. Luke came to a disappointing conclusion last week when the court decided that Kesha would not be let out of her contract with the producer, despite her accusations that he emotionally, verbally, and sexually assaulted her for years.
In the wake of the decision, the hashtag #FreeKesha began trending, with her peers, fans and fellow assault survivors speaking out against the decision, against Dr. Luke, and against Sony.
Amid all of the pain and frustration on social media, here are 20 tweets from that hashtag campaign. Some show Kesha and other survivors love, and others talk about the importance of this decision and what it means in a world that still doesn't know how to provide true justice and support for survivors.
