11 Pics of the Dapper Set that Make Us Want to Up Our Wardrobe Game

Fall for the stylish queers whose dapper ways make us swoon.

Style and fashion are on everyone's minds this time of year, as the weather shifts and fall wardrobes get pulled out or updated. People are glacing around to decide what their next style shift will look like, and some of the most stylish queer people around are visibly setting the bar high!

And in the fashion world, collections are being debuted at major Fashion weeks, projecting into Spring / Summer already, but giving us the sartorial gift to look beyond the cold months ahead, and into the bright pastels and bold motifs in our collective futures.

New York Fashion Week came and went, ending last week with a highlight for the gay, lesbian and queer community at large: Verge, an entirely queer fashion show, showcasing the broad range of queer style, models and fashion our community has. Put together by the collaborative brains of the incredible Anita Dolce Vita of dapperQ, bklyn boihood, Posture magazine, and DYDH Productions, the show saw some of the cream of queer fashion walk and showcased. And it even started with an engaged discussion about fashion representation with panelists from academic, trans media, artist and lesbian change-making backgrounds.

And while some of the models who walked in that show will be very familiar, such as the stunning Rain Dove (SEE: Rain Dove Crushing It at NY Fashion Week), others less so.

This week, London Fashion Week, known for the diversity of its designers and styles isn't especially known for the diversity of the people represented on catwalks and making the clothes. So we thought that we ought to remedy this by showcasing the people who kill it in the style game in all their varied dapper ways.

First, have you met DapperQ? The dapper-focused site features non-binary clothing and style on the regular, and put together that fashion show along with BkynBoihood - featured in this pic, and themselves a set of highly stylish queers:

Queer model who walks in menswear, and regular dapper fashion-wearer, Marcia Alvarado, is always on the style game, even when floating on air.

Meet model Elliot Sailors, whose many years on women's runways with longer hair and softer style have her prepped for taking on a new short-haired and male model runway as she's successfully transitioned into her own through the gender binaries of the fashion world. (This pic includes model / musician on the rise, Harmony Boucher for good measure).

Stylist and dapper-on-the-daily, SheDoesHim, has been crushing every fashion combo she takes on. If you're a fan of bold patterns and color, you'll want to keep your eye on her posts. We think those purple shoes are swoon-worthy, and take an unafraid eye to pair so well with a complimentary check.

Or else meet Ariam Sara Geffrard, better known as ADapperChick, pulling off this fall's color - dusty pink - to impressive effect, in delightfully masculine style.

If the dapper you love is androgynous, you're probably thinking of Ruby Rose (pictured here with close friend and suit-wearing fellow dapper androgyne lesbian Ellen Page).

Or you're conjuring up Erika Linder, here pictured in a suit by Sharpe Suiting, that she wore for the Harold & Maude-inspired video for the song Empire, by band Of Monsters and Men.

Meet the leader of a creative agency, who works with Instagram models herself, but has her own take on dapper aesthetics, Brittenelle.

Or perhaps you like your dapper with a femme twist. Try Tomboy Femme, and bless your eyes with a huge variety of the dapper, casual and pretty that tomboy femme has to offer.

It's probably a perfect note to end on a little sparkle, featuring the glittery besuited fashion choices of Jacob Tobia, whose stylishly femme nails make news, and impressive array of lipstick shades make every photograph dapper.
