The 2023 Grammy Awards are nigh, and the Recording Academy just announced their first batch of confirmed performers!
The show will air live on CBS Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 8 p.m. ET from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Trevor Noah is set to host the ceremony.
It's already been a great year for LGBTQ+ artists. Beyoncé has officially become the most Grammy-nominated artist in the history of the Recording Academy with her supremely queer album Renaissance. LGBTQ+ acts Steve Lacy, Brandi Carlile, Omar Apollo, Sam Smith, Kim Petras, Anitta, Måneskin, Diplo, Kaytranada, The Brothers Osborne, and even Broadway showA Strange Loop all secured their own nominations as well.
This morning, the Grammys gave us a taste of the performances we'll see on the Crypto.com stage. So far, Bad Bunny, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile, Luke Combs, Steve Lacy, and Lizzo have been confirmed alongside Kim Petras and Sam Smith, who will likely sing their No.1 hit song "Unholy". Talk about a gay lineup!
