Iconic queer comics and their fans gathered at Los Angeles' Greek Theatre on Saturday to laugh their gay butts off. Hosted by Billy Eichner and Bob the Drag Queen, the night features a slew of familiar names and surprise guests. Ani DiFranco, Sarah Paulson, Lena Waithe, and Lily Tomlin introduced a few members of the lineup, which included Margaret Cho, Tig Notaro, Sandra Bernhard, Wanda Sykes, Rosie O’Donnell, Bob the Drag Queen, Eddie Izzard, Solomon Georgio, Sam Jay, River Butcher, Patti Harrison, Matteo Lane, Marsha Warfield, Mae Martin, Judy Gold, Joel Kim Booster, James Adomian, Guy Branum, Gina Yashere, Trixie Mattel, Scott Thompson, and Todd Glass.
Sam Jay had the crowd cackling over her evolving relationship after entering couple's therapy, Margret Cho detailed her transition from "dyke" to bisexual, Patti Harrison and Trixie Mattell both blessed the audience in song, Marsha Warfield and Todd Glass hilariously reflected on their later-in-life coming outs, and, as O'Donnel pointed out, nearly every gay man on the lineup made a joke about getting f*cked on Grindr. The night was wrapped up with an update to Cyndi Lauper's hit song "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" that reflected the gay audience led by Trixie Mattell with O'Donnel on drums.
Stand Out: An LGBTQ+ Celebration was taped and will be available to stream on Netflix on June 9. Watch a clip of moments from the showcase below!
