Independent pro wrestler Effy (aka the 'Weapon of Sass Destruction') threw a "Big Gay Brunch" in Dallas, Texas this past weekend as part of Game Changer Wrestling's The Collective, and it turned out to be quite the show!
Sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, the event was a series of shows featuring LGBTQIA+ performers and allies – and oh-so-much wrestling. Photographer Nick Karp snapped some stunning images of a few of the most outrageous moments between Effy's facedown with Pimpinella Escarlata, the faceoff between Keira Murray and Billy Dixon, a smackdown between Jai Vidal and Carlos Roma, and so much more.
"Wrestling is gay," Effy wrote in their latest Instagram post. "Make it gayer." That's a mantra we can get behind! Profits from Effy's line of "Wrestling is Gay" merchandise benefit Atlanta-area LGBTQ+ support organization Lost-n-Found Youth.
