RuPaul's Drag Race legends Bob the Drag Queen and Peppermint are hosting a Black Queer Town Hall to dive into issues specifically affecting the Black LGBTQ+ community.
In partnership with GLAAD, NYC Pride, and replacing the Pride 2020 Drag Fest, Bob and Peppermint organized the Black Queer Town Hall to "center on Black queer voices and offer a moment for healing, rejoicing, mourning, and love."
The town hall takes place every day this weekend at 6:30pm ET. Special guests featured in the event include Laverne Cox, Mj Rodriguez, Angelica Ross, Monet X Change, Isis King, Todrick Hall, Shea Diamond, Tiq Milan, Alex Newell, Basit, and more.
"A diverse collection of LGBTQ voices will celebrate Black LGBTQ people and discuss pathways to dismantle racism, fight white supremacy, and pay homage to the queer people of color who started the revolution at Stonewall," the description reads on the GoFundMe page, which is dedicated on paying all parties involved.
The event will be streamed on GLAAD's YouTube and Facebook pages, 6:30-8pm EST on June 19, June 20, and June 21, 2020. Read more details about the event here and help them reach their $150,000 goal.
