Fans might've been upset when Lady Gaga announced she was delaying the release of her new album Chromatica to focus on "finding solutions" for the pandemic-sized health crisis we're all in right now, but it looks like "The Cure" singer is putting her platform where her mouth is.
Gaga has teamed up with the World Health Organization and international advocacy group Global Citizen to bring us One World: Together At Home, a star-studded event that has already raised over $35 million for WHO’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund to benefit frontline workers, vaccine research, and rapid response around the world.
Curated by Gaga herself, the event will be hosted by late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, and Jimmy Fallon. One World will air simultaneously on ABC, NBC, and CBS at 8pm on April 18!
Mother Monster even live-streamed her securing a $10 million donation from Apple CEO Tim Cook on
Jimmy Fallon.
The two-hour benefit special will feature appearances by Alanis Morissette, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Eilish, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Burna Boy, Chris Martin, David Beckham, Eddie Vedder, Elton John, FINNEAS, Idris and Sabrina Elba, J Balvin, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Kerry Washington, Lang Lang, Lizzo, Maluma, Paul McCartney, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan, Stevie Wonder, and the Muppets.
And don't worry if you can't catch the event that night! (Even though we can't go outside so...why not?) Regardless, the show will be available to watch soon after it concludes across streaming platforms including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and more.
Looks like this will be a night to remember!
