Panic! at the Disco frontman, Brendon Urie, is all set to star in the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots this summer!
The bi-sexual star will make his acting and Broadway debut as Charlie Price, a guy who inherits his father's shoe factory and enlists the help of a drag queen named Lola to save the company.
I know what you're thinking. Is Urie ready for Broadway? Don't panic. The dude has pipes.
You don't have a 12-year career for nothing.
The timing of Urie's Kinky Boots run couldn't be more perfect, as Panic! at the Disco's tour for their grammy-nominated album, Death of a Bachelor, wraps up this April.
In a Facebook video to his fans, Urie expressed his excitement for the role. "This has been on my bucket list for the longest time and it really is a dream come true." He jokingly added, "plus you guys get to see me in those heels now."
The angsty emo teenager I thought I'd buried deep down inside is brimming with excitement. Now excuse me while I listen to "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" on repeat for a few hours.
