Yesterday, Ellen Page went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about her movie (out now!), Freeheld. The Ellen duo talked about what it's really like coming out in Hollywood:
Ellen DeGeneres: "A lot of working actresses and actors don't come out because for fear of losing your career and a lot of people do and have, but you also recognize how you don't know the difference until you come out what you felt like before."
Ellen Page: "For me, honestly, being a closeted person hurt my career way more because I was sad, I was uninspired, and now I feel more excited about life and a sense of happiness that I've probably never felt."
Page also dished on how in love she is with her pro surfer girlfriend, Samantha Thomas, and then Ellen gave her the cutest surfboard ever.
