Kornbread Won’t Be Returning for Drag Race S15, Read Her Statement
The queen spilled the tea.
As viewers gear up for any and all news related to the upcoming season 15 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, one queen had a disappointing message for fans.
Kornbread Jeté had to make a premature exit from season 14, after suffering an ankle injury. Her shocking departure came right after she had won a challenge, and served as a surprise upset as a lot of viewers felt she had what it takes to go all the way in the competition.
As such, there was always a question of whether she would come back for season 15 and give it another go. But that is not to be the case.
“My run on season 14 was nothing short of AMAZING,” she wrote on Twitter Thursday night. “Unfortunately I will not be returning to Season 15 of RuPauls Drag Race. Great things ahead!”
She also added that she would not be joining the upcoming season of All Stars, noting, “Wasn’t my decision.”

Kornbread had previously spoken out about being disappointed that she had to leave in the middle of season 14, telling Billboard that she had expected to win the entire competition.
“That was my $100,000 check, that was my crown and my scepter, I already emailed the people telling them they needed to get it in a larger size, ‘cause I got a big head! But then here we go, my ankle stepped in and said, ‘No.’”
In the same interview, she suggested an eagerness to return for another go.
“I would be elated to go back, but they ain’t said anything to me yet,” the queen admitted at the time. “But I’m hoping they let me back! It’s actually the 11th commandment — ‘thou shalt bring Kornbread’s ass back to the people’s TV.’”
