Here's a helpful tip when navigating Stan Twitter: you probably don't wanna mess with the Drag Race superfandom. That was the lesson Joe Rogan had to learn when he had pan popstar and vocal LGBTQ+ activist Miley Cyrus on the most recent episode of his podcast.
The two discussed a lot of things during their 2-hour long chat, and at one point in the conversation, Miley's well-documented love of Emmy-winning reality TV competition RuPaul's Drag Race came up.
"When I said earlier I'm not religious, that's a lie," the "Midnight Sky" singer told Rogan, who admitted to never having watched the show, although he has heard about it. "I am RuPauls-byterian. I f--- with RuPaul. RuPaul is god."
The two then proceeded to watch some clips of some of Drag Race's most iconic queens drop and do splits during performances (including Alyssa Edwards, Latrice Royale, and Kennedy Davenport), and it's then that Rogan decided to throw a little, tiny bit of shade.
"They all do the same move, they drop down and do the splits," Rogan said as he and Miley watched a sickening clip of Kennedy performing live. While we all know a few clips of drag queens doing the splits isn't enough to make a declarative statement that the splits are the only move drag queens do, Miley had to let him know.
"That's what I think when I'm watching your shows too," Miley quickly responded. "All the same stuff."
After that perfectly-executed response from Miley, Rogan couldn't help but laugh.
"It's the money move!" Miley later concludes.
Yet another reason to stan Miley!
