RuPaul's Drag Queen Tatianna Turns Arrest Into Merch Opp

A queen who appeared in season two of RuPaul’s Drag Race was arrested earlier this week after causing some trouble at a nightclub in Atlanta.
Tatianna, who also showed up in Taylor Swift’s recent music video for “You Need to Calm Down” as an Ariana Grande impersonator, reportedly ducked into the employee’s only entrance of a nightclub after being told to use the front, and the cops were called.
According to TMZ, “things allegedly got a little outta hand” after that, with her refusing to leave and getting cuffed and escorted off the premises for disorderly conduct.
It’s certainly minor as altercations go, but now the drag queen is taking advantage of the momentum.
“DC Let’s make a negative into a positive! Make sure to come out this Thursday October 17th for Disorderly Conduct Party only at TRADE! We are raising funds for @HIPSDC [Helping Individual Prostitutes Survive],” she tweeted on Tuesday, with a faux mugshot photo.

On top of that, she’s released a series of merch featuring her *actual* mugshot, which she is calling the Disorderly Conduct Collection.
While the idea of turning your mugshot into merch might be questionable to some, considering the nature of the incident, most fans are commending Tatianna’s ability to make fun of herself.

Tatianna has addressed the incident with more than just merch and a charity function, though. She retweeted TMZ’s article shortly after it was published, saying: “im fine! It was a dumb situation that I wish didn’t happen but shit happens and people make mistakes. There was no violence or ridiculousness.”
“I’m crying in the picture because I was scared and had never been in that position before,” she added. “wish I would have just smiled.”
