The last three seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars had specific themes, which definitely keep us interested in watching the return of certain queens to the show. Meanwhile, we also start speculating, daydreaming, and fan-casting potential other seasons with other themes.
In 2021, All Stars 6 was a “redemption”-themed season that featured several queens who didn’t necessarily get the best edit on Drag Race when they first competed, for one reason or another. Then along came All Stars 7, the long-anticipated all-winners season that had “legends” as the core theme. This year, All Stars 8 had a “fame” official theme, with a cast of queens that either went home first/second, competed in a very early season, or were only featured in international seasons – hence why they needed to get more exposure coming back onto the show.
With the future of All Stars in mind, it had us thinking: what if producers gave us a full season with only Drag Race finalists competing? Well, here are the queens we’d love to see during that season!
Scroll through to check out our top picks when fan-casting an all-finalists season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
Nina Flowers only had a chance to compete in teams on All Stars 1. As the OG runner-up and Miss Congeniality winner of the series, we’d love to see Flowers come back for another chance at the crown!
While it’s true that Manila Luzon done already had done herses on All Stars 1 and All Stars 4, both of those eliminations felt shocking, and like she had what it takes to win the whole show. If queens like Jujubee and Jimbo can keep being brought back, we’d totally be down for Luzon to come back for an all-finalists season.
Roxxxy Andrews was incredibly overlooked on All Stars 2, which left many fans forgetting the high caliber of drag that this veteran queen is able to deliver. We’re long overdue for a return of Andrews to All Stars – this time hopefully stunting on the competition as she did back in season five.
The ultimate Drag Race fan-favorite, we’d love to see Adore Delano competing again on All Stars. While she did leave All Stars 2 by choice, we think that an all-finalists format could be more appropriate – and perhaps more positive – for Delano to get her head in the competition and fight for the crown.
Kim Chi was an incredibly fierce competitor on season eight of Drag Race, and she’s built a huge empire since her time on the show. It would be sickening to see what Chi could do on an All Stars season and the level of makeup artistry she would bring to the competition.
At this point, three of the four finalists of Drag Race season nine have eventually been crowned winners. We’re only missing Peppermint, who has accomplished so much in her post-Drag Race career and would be an immediate frontrunner on any All Stars season she competed in.
Asia O’Hara had a fantastic track record in season 10 of Drag Race, but some fans are insistent on only remembering her one big fumble on the show: the butterfly reveal at the finale lip sync. It’s important to remember how incredible this queen is and bring her back for All Stars!
Gigi Goode was literally great at most of the challenges in season 12. She would be a fierce competitor on All Stars, even if the cast was filled with other competitive finalists. We’d love to see Miss Goode back on our TVs.
One of the frontrunners of season 13, Gottmik would be another fantastic choice for an all-finalist season of All Stars. This queen crashed the cis-tem of Drag Race, and we’d love to see what she could pull off with an even bigger budget, experience, and glow-up.
Lady Camden was an absolute joy to watch on Drag Race season 14, so we obviously would love to see her back for All Stars. She also finished her original season as the runner-up, which makes her track record look even better as a returning contestant.
