Rhode Island's Providence recently put on three days of amazing drag at Stable Providence, which was recently named one of the best Gay Bars in America by Esquire. This amazing event was designed and completely organized by local legend LaDiva Jonz. The event ended up raising over $10,000 for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
Organizer LaDiva wrote in a statement:
"From the 'Brunch Babes Fight Back,' we were able to send $5,800 to the ACLU of Tennessee. At 'Dragapaloosa,' we raised over $3,777 for the local chapter. This amounted to a total of almost $10,000 for the ACLU. The weekend was filled with packed houses and flowing dollar bills. And the local community coming together for an event like this has been a long time coming. Since COVID, we have not really had a big benefit, other than the Stable's Gala, to party and raise money for great causes. These were amazing events."
