New York drag queen Emi Grate is celebrating 10 years in drag with a spectacular cabaret show.
Last month, friends and fans packed into the Dromedary: Coming Out bar in Bushwick to watch Emi ring in her 10th anniversary with a fabulous show where she sang 10 songs in 10 different languages alongside performer Darius Lamont who acted as emcee and Poise’N Envy who charmed the audience as the tip girl/stage kitten.
Unlike other drag shows you may have attended, Emi guided the audience through her life story from the early days of learning her craft through her journey to becoming an international diva. The cabaret-style show featured her performing her own renditions of songs from divas like Dalida, Edith Piaf, and ABBA while recounting stories from her extraordinary life.
