RuPaul’s Drag Race legends Alaska and Willam are producing and hosting the Drag Is Good fundraiser to support the ACLU’s Drag Defense Fund and donate money to local trans organizations in Tennessee.
The Drag Is Good live show is taking place on Thursday, April 13 at the iconic Play Nashville venue. Besides Alaska and Willam, the event will feature performances and guests such as Eureka, Detox, Meatball, The Princess, Deception, Suzy Wong, and more. Tickets to attend the live show in Nashville, TN are available now, as well as passes to the fundraiser’s official livestream on Moment.
“What’s happening in Tennessee is an attack on not just drag, but on the trans community as well,” Alaska writes. “This sort of legislation is spreading across the country rapidly and is a danger to all of us, and to the right to free speech and expression.”
Willam adds, “We have a platform, so we’re using it. And we’re drag queens, so we’re good at raising money. And we’re going to raise as much as we can to fight the bigotry.”
Alaska first broke out on season five of Drag Race and then went on to win All Stars 2. Willam appeared on Drag Race season four and had one of the most iconic runs in the herstory of the series.
For years now, Alaska and Willam have been hosting the Race Chaser podcast and founded the Moguls of Media (MOM) network of podcasts, which includes shows like Hi Jinkx, Very That, The Chop, Hall & Closet, and Sloppy Seconds.
Tickets to attend the Drag Is Good live show vary from general admission to VIP packages. In turn, fans who aren’t in Tennessee will be able to watch the event’s livestream through Moment.
