Iconic RuPau’s Drag Race Winner Bob the Drag Queen claims that Howard Stern made sexual remarks about her dance group when she auditioned for America’s Got Talent.
The We’re Here co-host and season eight winner of Drag Race detailed her experience on AGT during an interview on fellow drag queen Delta Work’s podcast Very Delta on Monday.
Bob alleges that before ever making it big as a drag queen, she auditioned for AGT and was shocked by the lewd comments made by Stern as he sat on the judging panel.
"Howard Stern once bullied me. But, to be fair, I low-key signed up for it. It was for America's Got Talent," she told Delta. "Me and a couple of friends got together to do America's Got Talent before I was ever on Drag Race.”
The 39-year-old queen said that she and her group tried to perform their dance number, but were thrown off by another group of performers. “So then they started throwing us off, we started dancing out of sync, and then people started crying on stage, and then we got the X X X all in a row."
Before Stern made the remarks in question, judge Sharon Osbourne told the group of friends that they looked like they “didn’t even rehearse,” Bob said.
"And then Howard Stern said something like... 'You guys weren't great, but I would have sex with that one,' and [my friend that he pointed to] was like — I can't remember which one it was — she was like, 'I would never,'" Bob explained. "He was like, 'Any one of you would love to have sex with me,' and I was like, 'I don't think you get to say that.' This is on stage. It never aired, probably because they were like, 'Howard, we can't air this,' but he was like, 'You'd be happy to have sex with me. Any one of you!'"
Sadly this behavior seems very on brand for Stern.
While we don’t know which season Bob auditioned for because it was never aired and the queen didn’t specify, Stern was a judge on the show for season seven through 10.
Bob is gearing up to join Madonna on her 40-year career-retrospective Celebration Tour which starts on October 14, 2023.
