"Is it really that unexpected tho?" the actor asked on TikTok.
Larry Saperstein is publicly opening up about his sexuality.
Taking to TikTok to celebrate the start of Pride Month, the 23-year-old actor (who is probably best known for playing Big Red on Disney+'s hit musical show High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) addressed his sexuality, casually coming out as bisexual!
"Is it really that unexpected tho?" Saperstein captioned the post, which is basically just a selfie video where the words "Plays a character with a girlfriend on TV, is bi irl" show up on screen as the Backyardigans' viral hit "International Super Spy" plays in the background.
Shortly afterwards, Larry took to Twitter to reveal that, in honor of Pride Month, he's working on a drag look that he hopes to surprise his followers with!
“I have T minus 30 days to figure out how to do drag so I can turn out a look before the end of the month 🤪 (#HappyPrideMonth I love you ALL SO MUCH 🏳️‍🌈)”— Larry Saperstein (@Larry Saperstein) 1622580165

But Saperstein isn't the only HSMTMTS star who caused a stir online recently in regards to coming out. His co-star, actor and singer-songwriter Joshua Bassett (who plays lead character Ricky in the Disney+ series) had many people online thinking he came out as queer after he confessed that he thought Grammy-winning popstar Harry Styles was hot.
"What I admire about Harry Styles is he's a very classy man, and he's also very well-rounded, and he kind of does it all," Bassett said in a May video for Clevver News. "Acting, singing, fashion. And I think that he's just a nice guy who doesn't say too much, but when he talks, it matters."
He even called his confession a "coming out."
"He's just cool," he continued. "Who doesn't think Harry Styles is cool? Also, he's hot. He's very charming too. Lots of things. I guess this is also my coming out video I guess."

After his wording caused a media frenzy, Bassett later released a public, social media statement saying that he's still "figuring out" his sexuality.
"My entire life people have told me my sexuality," he wrote. "People have shamed me for things they know nothing about. I want to say thank you to those of you who stand for love and acceptance."
