A Texas high schooler named Ben came out as gay to the tune of the Black Eyed Peas' 2009 hit "Boom Boom Pow"—and the video is taking the internet by storm.
A video of the coming out was posted on Twitter by his sister, Ally. "Y’all… this is how my little brother came out to my mom in 2015 & I’ve still got it stuck in my head," she tweeted.
Ditty, the application used to make the video, sings anything a user types into the program. The Black Eyed Peas beat begins, but instead of Will.i.am., we get a robotic voice singing "Mom I’m gay / LOL / luv u / Don’t tell dad."
Complete with Ally cackling with glee in the background, the video quickly went viral and the tweet currently has over 226,000 likes.
"For those concerned," Ally added, "our dad does know now and everything is all good."
The internet is absolutely smitten with the video:
Ben, the guy who made the video, even joined in on the comments.
It even inspired some other coming out videos.
God bless the internet!
