The news of Daniel's coming out comes on the heels of his win last week at the Mr. International Spain pageant.
“The truth is I never asked myself that it was something necessary because I did not see it as a reason why I could not claim the title,” Daniel told ABC about why he didn't think it was necessary for him to tell the world about his sexuality during the actual competition. “I wear my sexual orientation naturally and hence did not say to not consider essential.”
Although he wasn't publicly out when he was competing for the much-coveted title of Mr. International Spain, Daniel says his friends and family already knew, and it was never a problem in his life.
Congrats, Daniel!
