Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico have tied the knot!

The two beauty queens — Mariana Varela and Fabiola Valentín, respectively — shared news of their surprise nuptials on Instagram, shocking their followers, who had no idea the women had even been dating for the past two years.

“After deciding to keep our relationship private, we opened the doors to it on a special day,” reads the caption on the sweet video they shared reflecting on moments in their relationship, including the proposal and marriage itself.

The newlyweds first met in 2020 during the Miss Grand International competition, and have shared photos spending time with each other over the years, although they never explicitly gave the impression that they were more than just friends.

“One of the great gifts in this experience was your friendship,” Valentín wrote next to a photo of the two of them getting cozy over a year ago.

Fans and friends were eager to congratulate the women on taking this new step in their relationship and feeling comfortable enough to open up about it publicly.

“Omg congratulations MGI brought together a beautiful union,” wrote Abena Akuaba, who won the crown that year.

Now, can we get a Miss Congeniality reboot but with this plot, please??
