Welcome to the family, Gabby Windey!
Bachelor Nation was first introduced to Windey as a contestant on Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor, which aired in early 2021. Just a few months later, Windey was cast as one of two leading women for season 19 of The Bachelorette alongside Rachel Recchia. In 2022, Windey also competed on Dancing With the Stars and finished as the runner-up.
On Wednesday, August 2, Windey came out as queer and shared a photo with her new girlfriend, a comedian and TV writer named Robby Hoffman. For context, Hoffman has worked on shows like The Chris Gethard Show, Workin’ Moms, and Odd Squad, to name a few.
“Told you I’m a girl’s girl,” Windey wrote in the caption of the Instagram post. In the comments section, Bachelor Nation fan-favorite Demi Burnett, as well as singer Hayley Kiyoko (who dates Bachelor alum Becca Tilley), left messages to show their support of the new couple.
In an Instagram story, Windey further clarified her new relationship status. “Lots to say honestly, and it’s hard to get it out all right now,” she explained in the video. “But I know everyone’s been really curious about who I’m dating. You know I love to stir the pot and tease, but I did want to wait until I was ready.”
The Bachelorette star continued, “This is a larger conversation because I’m dating a girl. It’s been honestly, truly the best experience over these last three months. I’ve been in a relationship [that] I feel like I’ve never had before. I wanted to tell you guys because I always just want to live my life honestly and have you all along with me.”
Windey then revealed that she’s just filmed an interview on The View to talk about her new relationship with Hoffman – and we can’t wait to watch it!
Congratulations to Gabby Windey for living in her truth and for giving us yet another adorable LGBTQ+ couple to stan!
