Musical comedian Randy Rainbow takes aim at Donald Trump with a parody video lambasting the former president for being indicted a second time.
In his usual style, Rainbow opens the video with an “interview” where he places himself in the journalist's chair opposite Trump.
“Thanks so much for posting bail to be here,” the comedian begins before going on to roast the politician for his treatment of classified documents.
“According to the indictment there is a recording of you saying, and I quote, ‘Look at me I have classified documents, these are definitely not declassified. Look at me, look at me, I’m a big boy. Daddy please love me,’” Rainbow sings.
His newest song “Donald in the John With Boxes” parodies The Beatles’ “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds” and focuses on Trump illegally hiding boxes of classified documents in the bathroom of Mar-a-Lago which ultimately led to the second indictment against him.
“Picture his ass in a bright orange jumpsuit,” Rainbow sings, painting the audience a picture of the future we're all hoping for. “Bangin’ on bars with a rusty tin cup. Thought he’d be cute and just take what he wanted, but looks like it’s time to pay up.”
The gay singer has spent his career lambasting right-wing politicians with parody songs. In the past, he’s used music to criticize the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene, Rudy Giuliani, Ted Cruz, Ron DeSantis, and many more.
“Down in Palm Beach at the home of this klepto,” Rainbow continues in his satirical takedown of Trump. “Hidden there under his padded commodes. Just within reach of his diapers and Pepto, our national secrets and nuclear codes.”
The song comes to an end with the line: “Picture his ass in a bright orange jumpsuit, brought to the justice he tried to obstruct. Thought he’d be cute and just take what he wanted and now he is totally scr***ed.”
We all need some catharsis and a good laugh in light of the horror story that is our current political climate and Randy Rainbow delivers once again!
