Since we seem to be in a never-ending era of shameless reboots and remakes, I think it's time we have a discussion about bringing back one of the 2000's most iconic TV shows: Hannah Montana.
The series, which ran on the Disney Channel from 2006-2011, made lead star Miley Cyrus a household name and we'd be lying if we said we didn't miss the over-the-top plotlines, the countless wig reveals, and all the bops that spawned from the show's four seasons. (I still blast "Rock Star" to this day, no shame.)
Well, apparently we aren't the only people missing Hannah, because Grammy-winning gay country-pop artist Lil Nas X was also in a nostalgic mood when he posted a TikTok parody of the show — and Miley herself even got in on the nostalgia!
"I hope Miley don't block me for this," X captioned a TikTok video where he can be seen playing the part of pop star Hannah, spoofing the show's overly-dramatic identity reveals and recreating the trademark transition music in his own style.
Being an awesome sport, Miley dueted X's TikTok and played the role of Hannah's bestie Lilly, who looked so over Hannah's endless reveals.
This isn't the first time the two have worked together! During her set at the 2019 Glastonbury music festival, Miley brought out X and her father Billy Ray Cyrus for a surprise performance of their viral, hit single "Old Town Road."
Since live music isn't a thing right now, we'll have to be satisfied with a cute TikTok video, but here's hoping we'll get to see more of X and Miley flexing their acting and comedy muscles together sometime again in the future!
