Earlier this month, an insanely viral TikTok video posted by user @allyvlogs1 started making the rounds on the internet. Why? Because it allegedly showed the insane moment a girl called out her gay best friend for hooking up with her boyfriend in front of their entire friend group during a game of "never have I ever."
"Put a finger down if one of your best friends slept with your boyfriend and the rest of your friends didn’t tell you about it for over six months," the girl asks in front of her stunned friends.
"It’s not my fault that your boyfriend prefers me over you," the gay friend can be heard yelling at the girl later in the video during the dramatic fallout. "And it’s not my fault that your boyfriend is gay!"
The DRAMA of it all, amiright?!?!
Well, it looks like "drama" is the perfect word for it, because according to @allyvlogs1 herself, the entire exchange was scripted and acted out.
@allyvlogs1Sorry to break some hearts, pure clout chasing #fyp #xyzbca #heretheycome #differentpeople #quarantine #houseoftiktok
"Sorry to break some hearts, pure clout chasing," she captioned a follow-up TikTok where she can be seen pointing to news articles written about her viral video and lip-syncing to a voice-over that says "Did you see what I did there? It's a scam."
While this is another lesson in how we shouldn't believe absolutely everything that is being put on the internet, we'd be lying if we said we didn't enjoy every second of the supposedly fake confrontation! Get these kids some camera equipment and a budget and we have a new teen drama series on our hands!! (Are you listening, Netflix/Hulu/Amazon/HBO?!? You've got some golden queer content on your hands!)
And we can't be mad at the clout chasing! After all, the internet does love themselves a hilarious scammer!
