Two cats on the wrong side of an alley have sent the internet into a frenzy.

Simon and Theo, two very good boys, have apparently been spending their days staring at each other through their respective apartment windows. We all know how these wrong side of the tracks stories end. ~~Double suicide.~~

But Romeo and Juliet, this is not. Twitter user @kenziecoffman decided to change that narrative and initiate this "modern love story about to happen" and wrote her next door neighbor a note: "What is your cat's name? Love, Simon."

Soon after, a note appeared on the other window. "Hi Simon, I'm Theo. Your my best friend."

And just like that, their relationship began to bloom, spelling errors and all.

After the initial post went viral, @kenziecoffman documented Simon and Theo's relationship milestones for us to keep up with.

Eventually, they opened the windows and the cats got to greet each other.

The romance got so big on Twitter that Simon put on his best collar bowtie and left another note sharing that their love story went viral!

Theo saw the tweets and clapped back at all his online haters. "Simon, we did it!" said Theo, followed by a "Sorry for the spelling error. After all, I'm a cat."
