It’s a busy month for Abbi Jacobson!

In addition to A League of Their Own premiering this Friday, she recently confirmed her engagement to fellow actor Jodi Balfour.

The two first started dating back in late 2020, sharing celebratory posts about their one year anniversary in October of the following year.

According to People, Jacobson’s A League of Their Own co-stars were thrilled to finally talk about the news in public.

"It's out. It's great. We're so happy. We love [Jodi],” D’Arcy Carden said, while Chanté Adams joked that they’ve been hiding the update.

“No, you have not,” Jacobson replied. “You have not had to hide it. That was not a thing. It was not a secret.”

The revelation comes not long after the two made their red carpet debut at the Los Angeles premiere of A League of Their Own, which Jacobson co-created with Will Graham and also stars in.

She also spoke recently about how Penny Marshall, who starred in the iconic original film, expressed support for the series before she died.

“[Graham] and I got a chance to talk to Penny Marshall on the phone,” she told People. “It was really close to when she passed away, and we told her our whole idea and asked her a lot of questions about the film and she was just like, ‘Well, go do it already. Do it.’ She was excited about us doing it.”

All eight episodes of the first season of A League of Their Own will be released on Prime Video Friday, August 12.
