“Gagatondra” indeed.
On Thursday, July 7, Gottmik took to social media to share a message he received from a fan on Grindr. However, it wasn’t as flirty and fun – or perhaps as horny – as one might expect.
As seen in the screenshot shared by Gottmik, the Grindr user wrote:
“Hey is this Denali? :)”
The person then realized that it was Gottmik, but completely butchered his drag name:
“Sorry gottmick.”

As expected, Denali had a hilarious reaction upon seeing Gottmik’s Grindr interaction with this fan. In a tweet, Denali zoomed into this Grindr user’s profile picture, which featured a person holding a glass of wine. “Cheers!” Denali wrote.
Gottmik replied, “STOP.”

This hilarious interaction between these two RuPaul’s Drag Race season 13 stars as they navigate their lives outside of drag couldn’t be funnier.
It was unfortunate for Gottmik that a prospective hookup confused him with Denali and misspelled his drag name. After all, Mik is on Grindr as a guy to find potential love interests – not to be confused with a season 13 sister or have his drag name brought up and completely butchered.
Nonetheless, Gottmik and Denali turned this lame Grindr exchange into a new hilarious meme that the Drag Race fans are living for.
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 7 is now streaming on Paramount+.
