Let's make this Joyful Noise reunion happen!

Could Dolly Parton be headed to network TV?

Queen Latifah planted a kernel of hope that the country music star might do a guest spot on The Equalizer during a recent interview.

The actress told Variety that Parton is a big fan of the CBS show, which Latifah has starred in and executive produced for its first two seasons.

“Dolly literally wrote me a letter like, ‘You are a badass on that show!’” she said. “I may have to call and ask if she wants to be on.”

The two previously starred together on the church choir comedy Joyful Noise, alongside Keke Palmer and Jesse L. Martin. Hearing that such total icons have stayed in touch — and that Dolly’s out here offering up kind words of encouragement — is pretty cool.

It’s already been a busy month of news for Parton, who was voted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this week despite her humble insistence that she hadn’t done anything to deserve that just yet. She also hopped over to guest star in the Grace and Frankie series finale, giving fans the snippet of the full 9 to 5 reunion we’ve wanted ever since Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda first took on the titular characters seven years ago.

As for The Equalizer, considering it was just renewed for both seasons three and four today, Parton making a guest appearance there as well certainly seems like a plausible next step!
