Gay K-Pop Star Holland Has a New Boyfriend and Fans Are Giddy
One of the only out gay K-pop stars is opening up about a new development in his life — his boyfriend.
Go Tae Seob, better known to many as Holland, opened up during a recent livestream after several fans asked him about his relationship status.
“Honestly, yes,” he said, after a prolonged silence. “I have a boyfriend.”

The singer didn’t name names, but he cut off any potential celebrity rumors by letting viewers know his new beau isn’t anyone famous.
But the mystery man is allegedly “very handsome and kind,” and Holland says he already knows he wants to marry him.

All in all, it’s exciting news for fans, who have been rooting for the K-pop star to find love ever since he came onto the scene in 2018. Holland has been open about his sexuality from the jump, even including a same-sex kiss in his first music video for his song “Neverland.”
“It’s still not common in Korean society to openly accept LGBTQ+ individuals or the community, so I hope there are more opportunities to talk openly about homosexuality in the future,” he told British Vogue in 2020. “I believe my music is playing a role in broadening this conversation.”
