She shared a video of the terrifying moment on social media.
As Miley Cyrus headed to Paraguay late Tuesday night to headline the Asunciónico music festival, her plane was struck by lightning and was forced to emergency land.
The pop star shared the experience on her Instagram channel to her 162 million followers.
"To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción. Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lightning," the "Prisoner" singer wrote. "My crew, band, friends, and family who were all traveling with me are safe after an emergency landing. We were, unfortunately, unable to fly into Paraguay." She shared a broken heart emoji alongside, "I LOVE YOU."
The video shows lightning flashing in the air around the plane. The next slide is a photo of a singed wing-tip.
"THANK GOD YOU ALL ARE SAFE," one fan wrote in the comments of her Instagram post. "Thank you for confirming that you are fine, we were quite worried about so much news. We love you," wrote another.
According to NBC News, commercial planes are hit by lightning about once or twice a year but are equipped to handle and redirect the energy, unlike many smaller private plans. It's not clear which kind of plane Cyrus was on, but we're just glad she's safe and sound!
