Peek Inside Jonathan Bennett & Jaymes Vaughn's 'Dream Wedding'
Congratulations to the happy couple!
Jonathan Bennett and Jaymes Vaughan have finally tied the knot!
The happy duo were first linked back in 2017, with Vaughn popping the question in 2020. The Mean Girls star, of course, said yes, sharing footage of the momentous occasion with PEOPLE ahead of his “groundbreaking new holiday movie The Christmas House.”
PEOPLE also got the low-down on the nuptials themselves: the wedding took place in Mexico, at the Unico Riviera Maya Hotel, with 104 of Bennett and Vaughan’s friends and family members in attendance.
\u201cSo incredibly happy for my friends @JaymesV and @JonathanBennett! Honored to have been there to celebrate their special day. It was a truly magnificent wedding weekend. “It was honestly a dream wedding!” Bennett said. “We kept having to stop and remind ourselves that we weren’t on a movie set, but this was actually our real life. If you had told me this was one of my Hallmark movie sets, I would have believed it. It was that perfect.”
In conversation with PEOPLE, the actor also noted twice that he felt he and Vaughan had started new traditions at what they have referred to as an “inclusive” wedding — both in that their wedding party wore black and white gender neutral tuxes and with the “diamond-encrusted Kay Jewelers rings” they exchanged during the ceremony.
“That’s what we’re all about,” he said, adding that the rings are now for sale at Kay.
