Lee Pace Just Posted His Boyfriend on Instagram and We're Swooning

We love love!

We love Lee Pace. Have you seen him Have you seen him as an elf king? Yeah, we love Lee Pace! And if you weren't aware or had forgotten, he has a love of his own.

In 2012, Pace was mistakenly outed by Ian McKellen as the two were working on The Hobbit films. Years later, in 2018 he came out in an interview with W Magazine after being asked directly about his sexuality. But he sent a follow-up tweet about the incident.

"My privacy is important to me, so I protect it," he wrote. "When interviewed by the media, I keep the focus on my work."

And it's true, he does. Pace is generally not open about his personal life in interviews, or on social media. And while we certainly respect the boundary and applaud him for navigating fame in ways that work from him, we can't say that we are uninterested in his love life! Thankfully, a new post on Instagram gives us just a peek in.

While eagle-eyed fans may have known of the relationship for a bit, Pace recently posted a photo of his longtime boyfriend Matthew Foley. With a caption that simply says "Camp," Foley's back appears in a carousel of images. His instagram handle is tagged. 

Oh his birthday earlier this year, Pace also wrote about Foley.

"Thank you for all the birthday wishes," he wrote. "
thinking back over the past year ... I am struck by a deep feeling of gratitude. For my health. For the people I have shared this year with. My family. Matthew. The unforgettable cast and crew of Foundation."

Foley, who works at the fashion brand Thom Browne, had also posted photos of Pace. For Pace's birthday, Foley posted a carousel of images on Instagram Stories and wrote "birthday babe" on one.

The couple have reportedly been together since 2018.
