Lil Nas X almost made his acting debut on HBO Max's Euphoria.
The beloved teen drama is currently in production for its second season, and the "Industry Baby" rapper was considered for a role alongside Zendaya.
According to Variety, the 21-year-old rapper "turned down a high-profile acting gig because he didn’t think he was ready. 'I was actually going to do Euphoria, but I didn’t want to take time away from finishing my album.'"
Even still, X says he "definitely want[s] to get into acting, but I feel I have to give it my all, and I want to focus on music for right now. I want my first movie to be amazing."
It's unclear which character he was considered to play, but Minka Kelly, Dominic Fike, and Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. have joined the series so it was likely one of their roles. Euphoria Season 2 is expected late this year or early next.
Instead, he's making his television debut on tonight's season finale of FX's comedy series Dave. X will play himself and introduce Lil Dicky on the stage of an award show.
