High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star Joshua Bassett is coming out as a Harry Styles stan.
In a recent video for Clevver News, the 20-year-old actor, singer, and alleged inspiration behind Olivia Rodrigo's smash sad-girl single "driver's license," took some time to answer some of his fans' most burning questions. After responding to some typically expected questions about a bunch of different topics, like his character Ricky in the upcoming second season of HSMTMTS and what's it like dealing with rumors about his private life, he gets asked what he admires most about the Grammy-winning "Adore You" singer-songwriter — and he had a pleasantly surprising response!
"What I admire about Harry Styles is he's a very classy man, and he's also very well-rounded, and he kind of does it all," Bassett said. "Acting, singing, fashion. And I think that he's just a nice guy who doesn't say too much, but when he talks, it matters."
"He's just cool," he continued. "Who doesn't think Harry Styles is cool? Also, he's hot. He's very charming too. Lots of things. I guess this is also my coming out video I guess."
It's very well-documented that Bassett is a huge fan of Harry's, and this latest video of him absolutely gushing over him (and his hotness) is probably one of the most relatable things ever. (After all, don't we all have a little bit of a crush on Mr. Styles?)
What (obviously) also grabbed fans' attention was Bassett's use of the term "coming out." Whether he was talking about just coming out as a big fan of Harry's or whether he actually did just casually come out of the closet as a part of the LGBTQ+ community, people online had a lot of thoughts on Bassett's revelation...
