The Drag Race judge talked about his engagement on Drew Barrymore's talk show!
It's official! One of our fave out TV personalities and RuPaul's Drag Race judges Ross Mathews is getting ready to tie the knot!
The 41-year-old comedic icon made the announcement of his engagement to Dr. Wellington Garcia in a super sweet post posted on his Instagram account earlier today.
"Fiancé, you stay!" Ross wrote in his caption. "I am so proud to announce that after over a year together — navigating a pandemic, quarantine, and opposite coasts — the smartest, funniest, and kindest man I’ve ever met said, 'Yes!' Dr. García, I love you. A lifetime of adventure awaits."
Ross then took to Drew Barrymore's daytime talk show on Tuesday to talk more about his engagement, telling Drew all the details of when he and his now fiancé Wellington met and how they started dating during a worldwide pandemic.
"About a year ago, I met somebody, who just changed my life, totally," he told Drew. "His name is Dr. Wellington Garcia. And he's an educator, and he's hilarious, and he's the smartest person I've ever met. And you know, Beyoncé says, 'If you like it then you should've put a ring on it.' Well, I did."
Ross then showed off his engagement ring to Drew and the crowd, and, as expected, cheers (and confetti) erupted from the happy news!
"I am the happiest man," Ross continued. "I met somebody so extraordinary."
I think we echo Drew's sentiments when we say this is probably the cutest, happiest news we'll get all day!
