Viral Video Appears to Show Ezra Miller Choking a Fan
Fans are shocked and confused.
Ezra Miller is facing some serious backlash after a video appeared to show them choking a fan.
In the video, Miller, who is currently playing The Flash in the DC cinematic universe, appears to approach a female fan who is harmlessly goofing around and asks her “Did you want to fight? Is that the deal?” before grabbing her neck and shoving her towards the ground.
The person recording the video says “whoa, bro, bro, bro, bro, bro” as he realizes what’s happening and the footage ends.

A comment on reddit claims that a slightly longer version was originally posted to r/wtf by friends of the girl in the video, but they had to delete it because of an ongoing police investigation.
Another post claims the incident occurred in Iceland.
And a since-deleted tweet appears to claim Miller choked the girl after she jokingly challenged him to a fight.
“@ScottMendelson Twitter evidence ☝🏽apparently she was joking saying she would win if they had a fight and he took it seriously and chocked her. Anyway I would think 2020 maybe a time for men to stop chocking women. Staged or not.”— Paulina Plazas (@Paulina Plazas) 1586185509
While there is incredibly little information to go on at this point, the available footage has fans severely concerned about Miller’s behavior.
“Me checking why Ezra miller is trending and expecting he's just probably doing some iconic gay shit but seeing he's choking goddamn a woman: ”— fai saw billie & louis ♡ (@fai saw billie & louis ♡) 1586161386

“ezra miller is a great example of why yall should stop saying someone ended toxic masculinity everytime they wear unblended eyeshadow bc they’ve proven they can reject traditionally masculine aesthetics and still not hesitate to choke a woman to the ground 😁”— ria (@ria) 1586158436

Some fans are saying it's important to wait for more details and see what Miller says about the incident before passing judgment, while others insist there really can't be any good reason for their actions.
“@Troy_Henley Yeah you’re right man. It’s totally fine for a grown ass man to choke a teenaged female fan and take her to the ground. I don’t know where you were raised..but that shit ain’t fucking cool.”— Diego Tinoco (@Diego Tinoco) 1586156375
“@kreefn @CBMCringe “He was clearly on something”
💩

Yes, he was. I didn’t know drug abuse was a good excuse to assault people but I’m so glad this guy let me know.

Also him using his LGBTQ status as an excuse for abuse is GROSS.”— Kree followed you and (@Kree followed you and) 1586155452
“There's a 7-second video circulating of Ezra Miller jokingly choking a fan, who seems to lose her balance and fall over — all clearly a playful incident that went slightly wrong — that people are trying to spin as "EZRA MILLER CHOKES A FAN!!" and this is why we deserve to die.”— Eric D. Miller has yet to comment on the video or the incident depicted.
