Kelly Clarkson Shares Amazing Old Interview With Dan Levy

The two have run into each other more than a few times over the decades.

Schitt’s Creek creator and star Dan Levy appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show to talk about the final season of the beloved Canadian sitcom, but first, Kelly pulled out some amazing receipts from their intertwined past.

Levy used to work with MTV Canada, and interviewed Clarkson a couple times during that portion of his career. Fortunately for all of us watching at home, she was able to pull up an old clip from the two sitting down in Barbados, featuring Levy sporting a miraculously terrible outfit comprised of a blazer, short shorts, and two pairs of glasses.

“How was I allowed on TV?!” he criticized after sitting through the clip.

Watching Levy watch his younger self is a treat, but it gets even better.

Clarkson says that she was recently reminded that not only had she and Levy met through interviews, but he was also an extra in her video for “Behind These Hazel Eyes” back in 2004.

“So this ultimately is making me look like a total stalker creep,” Levy points out. “I swear this was coincidental. This was not…I was not…this sounds weird.”

We’re treated to a very early 2000s blurry clip from the video, in which we can just barely make out Levy’s bespectacled face. But Clarkson and Levy’s memories from that day seem crystal clear as they recount their individual perspectives of that time Clarkson was supposed to run down the wedding aisle and burst through the doors at the end — but no one told her there were stairs waiting for her on the other side.

The trip down memory lane is worth taking with these two, so check out the full interview below!
